My ideal student is between 16 and 23 years old. It doesn’t matter if you have a strong direction for your future or you have no idea what you want to do, so long as you are motivated to explore, envision, ask, plan, study, and work!
Hey, I’m Jake Castanha. I’m 28 years old and was born and raised in Santa Barbara. I went to Pacific University in Oregon, where I played on the soccer team and studied Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. After college, I started teaching at an English Academy in South Korea and spent two amazing years there before moving back to the States and making the switch into the tech industry.
Since the middle of 2023, I’ve been in software sales at a global company specializing in real estate technology.
When I graduated from college, my career path was unclear, and I was unsure where I fit into the job landscape. I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed, confused, and intimidated by the job market.
Through a combination of hard work, strategic decisions, and a little luck, today, I have a career that excites me and amplifies my best talents!
In a world that’s changing faster than ever, I believe young people deserve the tools and guidance to choose careers that ignite their strengths, challenge them to grow, and empower them to build lives they’re excited to wake up to.
